Singapore F1 Night Race

The very much rave about event has finally come to a close. It was also my very first F1 experience

at Home.

In front of a TV.

On channel 5.

Thanks to Mr Smarty who never fails to entertain my non-stop interviewing session like..

Where is Hamilton from?
(Britain)

Who is Massa?
(A Ferrari driver who gained the first grid position at the finals)

Why is Najima not representing Honda?
(No idea)

What is a safety car?
(A car that comes out during accidents to stop the race and slows down drivers while the clearing the track)

How many times can the racer stop at the Pit Stop?
(As many as they wish)

Who is currently leading?
(Hamilton)

Which country is Renault from?
(France)

Is Ferrari an Italy or Spain team?
(...Alec laughed his lungs out and said SIngapore, see I knew it was Singapore, the symbolic red colour and I am suspecting it must be owned by Singtel too!!! otherwise why bother to sponsor when you have no racer participating???)

(After googling... it is Italy)

Is US competing?
(No, FI is not a sport to them, going into credit crunch is..)

Why is Malaysia team not competiting??
(Cause Alec is in Singapore, they cant get a competent driver like him)

Why is F1 so popular?
(Cause it brings tourism to the participating countries)

See, Alec is such a smartalek!

After watching cars and cars going round the circuit, I must said that I enjoyed watching crashes and dramas than pure driving.

The tracks in Singapore is pretty narrow hence overtaking is pretty tough and dangerous. So it all boils down to your starting position and maintaining that position until the end.

Massa was the favourite of the crowd, securing a comfortable first grid position and he was doing pretty well, until the first crash happened.

Nelson Piquet (Renault) crashed into the barrier during the 15-16 laps, Massa lead the cars into the pit box.

That is when all the drama starts my friend. Massa obtained a green light to move on, but sadly the fuel hose was still attached and he drove it away without noticing it until a bit too late.

Precious time were wasted, I guessed he has lost about 20-25 seconds as his fellow team came running to his aid to pull out the fuel hose. Every second counts, so that left him with a dissapointing last position. On top of that, he was penalised 10 seconds for hazard driving at the pit area.

Poor Ferrari mechanic tripped over the fuel hose as Massa speed away. Such a drama on my first F1 race!

Then Nelson, who crashed out earlier, went to the spectator to throw his gloves to the crowd, but his bad luck didnt end at the track. Strong wind blew his gloves down to the river.

Wait a minute, should he be fined for littering??? It was caught on the national TV!

Massa suffered similar fate, he had a small crashed at a corner but managed to regain his position to go on. But Force India team, Adrian Sutil, crashed at the same corner and there were fire coming out from his engine (small fire only... cheh).

Massa then passed on his bad luck to his fellow team mate, Raikonen. The last crucial four laps, where he was fifth, crashed out giving Ferrari no points in the first Singapore night race.

At the end, Alonso, who started with a 14th position topped the race.

That's all for now, reporting live from the comfy room at Ang Mo Kio :P

Mr Smarty

Chessgal,Alec

This is Alec,

He looks dumb in a way but honestly, he is the very first guy (or maybe among the few guys) that always managed to impress me with his etiquette, his sense of direction, his brilliant common sense or just basic worldly knowledge.

Basically, I am a girl who is easily to be impressed of things which i am not familiar with, like roads, F1, Worldcup and Politics. Yes, I may looked as if I know a lot of things but never judge a book by its cover. I am actually empty inside :P.

Just now, he just impressed me with his knowledge on F1. He explained to me the meaning of different colour of flags and the rules the racer must abide with. He loves F1, he would catch it middle of the night even though I screamed and yelled at him to bloody switch off the monitor. He never listens.

The more I know him, the more I realized he is such a gem! The past few days I have been coughing my lungs out day and night. He would wake up middle of the night to fetch me warm water and medicine.

He cleans, folds, washes my clothes and never fails to attend my whiny demand.

Regardless how ridiculous my demand is, he would give in and wave a white flag.

Alec,

Just want to tell you thank kiu for being such a good friend to me :)

Hahahahah

Sick

My cough started 2 weeks ago, but I cant afford the time to see the doc, cause the stupid queue is always soo blardy long!

Just 5 patients, I have to wait 1 and a half hours.

But my cough is killing me, it is annoying and irritating.

I cant engage in a proper conversation with my client and colleague.

So finally, I went to a doctor last Friday.

Cough continues and lost my voice over the weekend, So i took today off to see another doctor again.

But both gave me the same exact medicine.. -_-!!

I've swallowed so much of pills that my tougue taste bitter.... I feel drowsy too.....

I want pizza.....I want my voice back!

Good times!

Me heart me family a lot!

Had a great weekend last week, went back for my mum's birthday and we spent a night at Genting.

I also had my very first taste of gambling!

Being at 23, finally I am legally allowed to gamble (or is it 21? I dunno). Anyways, I was pretty blurry that morning (yes, morning), cause it was 4AM!! (Was watching movie with my family until 3.30am), so Alec the devil, took me around the casino.

It was pretty packed despite it was already 4am, all the crazy gamblers (minus myself) trying to catch the early worms.

I don;t really gamble, so I played the Tai Sai (Big & Small), the easiest to understand game. Alec on the other hand, played black jack 21. The minimum bet was RM50, while mine was RM5.

Long story cut short, I lost RM100, Alec won RM250++.

I blame Alec for my loss. That greedy devil asked me to place 10 bets at one go, Habis... all gone! Thats RM50!

Soon, I lost everything (RM100) hahahah.

We came back on Sunday evening.

The very next day, I went to KLCC to meet Joyce, the photographer.

I was 30mins late, blame Msian cars and confusing signboards.

Soon we take off to our shooting spree...

He is pretty experienced, despite being just 21 years old, while .... i suck at posing!!

My smile was pretty fake and gosh... I suck.

Alec joined me 2hours later and became my luggage boy.

At one point, some tourist thought I was some big shot, and an ang moh asked his friend 'Rock Star?'.

i want to roll on the floor laughing my ass, head, eyes and whatever on me OFF.

Reason?

My make up was super thick with fake eye lashes, Joyce with his gigantic Camera and Alec with my bag and luggage bag.

hahahahahahahahha

Happy sial!! Kembang giler!

Here are the few results, stay tune for more :P

Having a gf like me

is definitely not an easy job.

I whine a lot

I nag a lot

I talk a lot

I compare too much

I work too hard

I give 1001 reasons not to go on a date/go out.

I get bored easily

I'm selfish

I'm lazy (to do housework)

my world revolves around my family & work

Pamper me, I'll take you for granted

Ignore me, I'll stray

I know, I'm such a b*tch.

But then again, someone's still lovingly loving me...

for now that is.

I've found a photographer!

Yesh yesh yesh!

Found one photographer who is not only sooooo accommodating but also willing to do a free of charge photoshot with me!!!

Joyce is so sweet in his email:

I pulled some strings and I'll be free on Monday ifyou take me (please do!). Otherwise, life goes on asusual.

Here's my proposal (with a lot of assumptions based onwhat's in your blog): Since it's a memory thing, it'll be pointless to takeyour portraits in studio or anywhere you didn't spentmuch time at. You're not too fond of where you stayed too (:P) sothe best place would be the places you worked at, thelatest one being Ikea in Cineleisure (please tell meI'm right about the location).

You'll have to dress like the professional you, youknow, since you have (or had?) a demanding career inthose places. Probably a briefcase as well with acalculator in hand, for a "candid" shot. We'll discussmore about this in further discussion. :D

If time allows, we can do more: places with yourfavorite food, your classes, gym you frequent, withyour boyfriend, or maybe you posing with a Queen aswell. :) How many hours you're planning to spend on takingphotos?

Have to make a plan ahead so you don't missyour flight or something. If you don't mind waking upreally early we might even get to catch sunrise aswell. xD Oh by the way, when I said I'll be free on Monday ifyou're taking me, I meant free of charge as well (sotake me please!). I never charged a single cent for memorable events ormemory-related things like wedding or 21st birthdaybash, because it'll take the fun or meaning out of it.

I only charge those who wants a specific "random"portrait just for the sake of having one. :) The latest one I did was a farewell for a friend atairport. You can see it in(http://joyce-tedoen.com/2008/07/17/bye-alex/).

Ofcourse for yours we won't be doing such extensivestuff. Let me know what you think!

Oh my gosh...Of course i'll take you! No need to pay eh... hahaha...

Aiseh, next time my sister birthday can call this photographer ady...

Oh my gosh... happy sial!

hahhaha

I went Dating with another guy!

Yes, I went dating with another guy.

I let Alec to wear green hat.

My date for tonight is

Photobucket
Jonathan (Single & Available)

Yeng right?

Alec! Beats this! Hip Hop guy!

Alec always thinks that I deserve no other guy than him,

Thinks that I can't attract guys

Thinks that China Mei is better than me.

Now take it!

Hahahah

Actually, we dated in the GYM!

Yeah, he's my gym partner and also my colleague.

Long story cut short, we had fun in class. (So tired to blog)

Had dinner at some Organic Cafe outside the gym cause it was raining heavily.

Chatted until the rain stopped.

His grandmother story and also some of mine. But he speaks most of the time (pretty unusual right? cause most of the time, I do the talking, but somehow he can beat me!)

Anyways, order a set meal, here are the pictures:

The meal was so so but a great conversation (of he going after so and so hahaha.. dun kill me Jonathan).

Mouth zipped okay?

I want to do Potrait

Suppose already booked a photographer to do potrait next week but guess the photographer is a little too whiny... just cause i hardly reply him on msn and he shut me off by saying

' you are taking too long to reply, i dun want to waste my time '

Gosh, no one asks u to wait???

Then feeling that, gosh imagine if I cant pose, he would screaming his heart off, so I went lowyat to ask around any photographer is free to do a potrait, apparently he was furious and put me in his non-confirm client.

Like hello?? Cant i ask around? I already promise you means I will come. I even gave him my number and confirm several times, while he acts as if its still a long long way to go.

Your time is precious, so is mine.

Anyway, he sounds sacarstic, though some of his pics are pretty nice but I think I will give it a pass, if i'm being treated as a crap client, then I will rather pay more for a better photographer.

So any nice photographer around?

Some random pictures of what I have been eating or just ME ME N ME.

Audit

Most people will have a love and hate relationship with their job.

Similarly, I dread going to work yet love it when I work.

Today is one of those days.

Conducted an Ikea stock take today. Boy, it was fun!

I mean not as fun as going on annual leave but it was something different.

I get to sit on the tractor! (or whatever they are called)

You know, like a small kid, riding in one of those merry-go-round.. Weeee……

The client has been very accommodating. Showing me around and opening some of the samples for verification purpose.

It was a smooth stock take cause the warehouse is very organised with visible tags and location.

If only everyday is as simple as such. I wont be pulling hair every other day.

Gyming

Finally Alec has decided to take the plunge to join me at California Fitness! Yay!

A new gyming partner,

Now I will never gym alone... more reason to gym eh?

Freaks me to go alone, handling some machines which I have no idea how to operate.

My stupid laptop is acting up, now I cant transfer images from my hp.
